Alexander Kafka
I joined FIRST to compete in the 2005 competition as a freshman at Hamilton High in Chandler, AZ whose team is known as Team 698. My main interest at the time was to gain a working knowledge of the robots presented at the local HISEF science fair. At 2449 my main job is to train new members to become proficient welders and to float to whatever task needs to get done. I am studying Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University and I love robotics. Currently I am involved in various robotics projects associated with ASU; such as the NURC and MATE underwater competitions, USLI rover project, and the autonomous underwater research vehicle. I have enjoyed seeing the team come together to design, engineer, and build a very competitive and beautiful robot for the 2010 competition. I plan to continue supporting FIRST teams whenever possible and continuing outside research within Arizona State University.
