Rebound Rumble Logo

Description

RUMBLE REBOUND™ is played by two competing alliances on a flat 27’ x 54’ foot field. Each alliance consists of three robots. They compete to shoot as many foam basket balls into hoops on either end of the field during a 2 minute and 15 second match. There are three levels of hoops, with the bottom being worth one, the middle being two, and the top being three.

The match begins with a 15-second Hybrid Period in which robots operate independently of driver inputs or coached by a human player giving signals to a Microsoft™ Kinect™ controller and must score baskets for double the points of each level. For the rest of the match, drivers control robots and try to maximize their alliance score by scoring as many logo pieces as possible.  The match ends with two robots balancing on platforms in the center. During qualifying matches, robots of different alliances have the opportunity to score qualifying  points by balancing on a center platform together.
