Last Saturday, we successfully tested our new drive-train programming on our test chassis. The robot drove smoothly and was very controllable; the camera updated quickly enough to be able to drive with it if the robot is not visible from the drivers’ station. We were able to get the robot through a door that was only 2” or so wider than the robot on either side using the camera. Everything worked as expected, which is a good sign. This was also a good opportunity for driving practice for many of our members.
