Welcome to Out of Orbit’s mission control! Out of Orbit, FIRST Robotics Team 2449, is a joint effort made up of students from Marcos de Niza High School and James Madison Preparatory School. Our objective is to build a mind-blowing robot to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition. We’re all about building an awesome robot through effort and team work! Since many of us are interested in careers in science and technology, joining a robotics team is a great way to get informed, experienced, and passionate about science and technology. We’re excited about the robot this year, and can’t wait for the competition!

New in 2012, of course, is the game, Rebound Rumble. This game mixes concepts from previous games with a new basketball flavor. We’re excited to welcome over a dozen new members to the team, and we continue to become more student-managed than ever. We think that’s exciting! We’re working on establishing team systems that will help keep us going in future seasons.
