Team 2449 is . . . Out of Orbit!
Welcome to Out of Orbit’s mission control! Out of Orbit is FRC Team 2449, a joint effort made up of students from Marcos de Niza and James Madison Preparatory School. Our objective is to build a robot and compete with it in the First Robotics Competition. We’re all about having a well balanced team, and building an awesome robot! The purpose of this project is to acquire experience, skills, and values in the fields of science and engineering, and have fun! Many of us are interested in majors and careers in science and technology, and joining robotics team is a great way to get informed, experienced, and passionate about what such a career could be like. We’re excited about the robot this year, and can’t wait for the competition!
Reaching Out to Other Teams
We remember what it’s like to be a newbie – a new member, a new team, new to FIRST. It can feel just a little intimidating. Team 2449 wants to lend a hand to current and future FRC newbies. Learn to navigate the FRC waters and find your place on a team with OOO Newbies, Julia and Meghan, authors of the Newbie BLOG. Get advice on important team-wide topics from Ask a Mentor. Learn something new and impress your teammates by checking out our Resources Page and our Glossary.
